biography.
RHIANNON ELIZA GRAHAM WAS BORN ON JULY 9TH, 1999 IN BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA. Her mother was kind enough to name her, make sure her father was on the birth certificate and leave a note when she dropped her off on Will Graham’s doorstep and left her. Still being in college, Will stepped up to the plate. He made sure she got all of her newborn vaccines and got her everything she needed. After college, he entered the police academy, focusing on making money while also doing his best to take care of Rhiannon when he was home. She was left with babysitters while he worked, and then one day he was shot while on the job. She was a toddler, and had no idea why her dad was hurt, but was stuck to his side while he recuperated. Soon after he left the New Orleans Police Department, Will and Rhiannon moved to Wolf Trap, Virginia, where Will bought a nice plot of land and started fixing up the house. Soon, Rhiannon started school, and Will began teaching at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Maryland. Eventually, he began profiling on the side, which is when the BSU got the case of the Minnesota Shrike.THE CASE OF THE MINNESOTA SHRIKE CHANGED RHIANNON’S LIFE FOREVER. Jack Crawford wanted the man caught, yesterday. So, he needed a lure for the Shrike’s lure. As soon as Rhiannon’s name was mentioned, Will protested, not wanting to endanger his child. Jack still went behind Will’s back and flew Rhiannon to Minnesota anyways, faking a driver’s license and having her scout a college in the area where the Shrike usually struck. Abigail Hobbs and Rhiannon talked, and soon, she was lured into a car, and taken away. She’s knocked out quite quickly after and the BSU team has to track her phone to even figure out where she’s being taken to. Rhiannon wakes up in the basement in severe pain, muffled screams coming from her gag as Garrett Jacob Hobbs saws off her leg. Soon, she passes out from the pain, meanwhile upstairs, Garrett gets a surprise call which prompts him to kill his wife and attempt to kill Abigail Hobbs. After waking up in the hospital, Rhiannon was disoriented but still remembered what had happened. She saw her father, (who looked like he’d never really left her side), and one Dr. Hannibal Lecter at her bedside. She wasn’t even entirely sure how long she’d been knocked out for, but knew it had to have been long enough for her dad to look like complete shit. Eventually, when she was allowed to go home, she was elated to be out of the hospital. She had really missed the dogs. She eventually got a prosthetic and tried her best to avoid Freddie Lounds whenever she could. She did not want to do an interview with that woman. She was overly sensationalist at best, and it drove the teen crazy.WHEN WILL IS ACCUSED OF BEING THE CHESAPEAKE RIPPER, Rhiannon doesn’t believe it for a minute. She doesn’t believe that Will killed Abigail Hobbs, and she DEFINITELY doesn’t believe that he killed all of those other people, or fed her human organs. She doesn’t believe it’s Will, but can’t definitively prove otherwise because of her father’s encephalitis diagnosis. So, for the time being, she’s given to the state while Alana Bloom cares for the dogs. To say the girl is miserable is an understatement. She feels like her whole life has fallen apart. Kids call her a cannibal and bully her relentlessly. This is without a doubt the darkest period of her life. She becomes very withdrawn and severely depressed, even after Will is acquitted from all charges. The accusation has changed her mentally and emotionally. Rhiannon is happy when Will is released from BSHCI and she is allowed to go back home.THE RANDALL TIER INCIDENT should NOT have been a surprise to Rhiannon, since Will had sent BSHCI orderly Matthew Brown after Hannibal during his time in prison. But, being charged by a grown man in a metal contraption was not what she expected. Being nearly impaled, and almost dying again, Rhiannon had to lay hopelessly in the snow while Will killed Randall Tier with his bare hands. She passes out after a few long minutes, and nearly bleeds to death outside in the cold. But, she’s brought into the hospital in the nick of time, and a blood transfusion is administered during and after her surgery. She’s comatose for most of the latter half of the events of Season 2, waking up soon after Will is gutted and Hannibal makes his escape to Italy.
